There is something about an eclectic interior that makes you want to delve in. Each piece has been carefully chosen by the homeowner and tells stories of global travels, one-of-a-kind finds and unique experiences. These kinds of interiors don’t follow trends; they break the rules, becoming uniquely curated spaces that reflect a sense of confidence and a personal taste honed from years of exploration.
Enter Dusty Deco, the Swedish design house that has mastered the art of the “unique find”. Built from a passion for hunting for unique vintage items and antiques, Dusty Deco creates bold, characterful furniture, lighting and home accessories that feel like treasures discovered in a hidden Parisian vintage boutique or a high-end antique market. Their designs are a sophisticated collision of contemporary art, mid-century influences, and timeless patina.
Founded by Edin and Lina Kjellvertz, Dusty Deco began as a passion project. Whilst spending the week working in fashion, on weekends the pair shared a love for collecting rare and unique objects for their own home. Spending their free time at flea markets, they would hunt for anything they found interesting, from furniture pieces to smaller objects like lighting or decoration – anything that matched their personal tastes or would complement their décor.
When their space began to fill up, it was clear that what was once a hobby to furnish their own apartment could grow into something bigger. Whilst borrowing a friend’s house in Barcelona for a few days, Edin and Lina got planning:
“Evenings were spent talking, sketching, and gathering inspiration. Somewhere between conversations in the garden and Dusty Springfield playing Son of a Preacher Man, the direction became clear, and the name fell into place – Dusty Deco.”
To begin with, Edin and Lina began sourcing furniture, lighting and décor, searching for objects with presence, patina and character. Their buying trips took them around the world and resulted in them opening their first store in the outskirts of Stockholm. Their inspiration was constantly shaped by the places they visited, things they saw and people they met, but they always stayed true to their original ethos of collecting what they wanted to live with themselves.
After more than a decade of experience, with an ever-growing client base and the gradual opening of more stores across Stockholm, it was time to take things to the next level. The natural progression was to start designing their own Dusty Deco collection. This included furniture, lighting, rugs and objects, created to inspire creativity and an eclectic spirit within the home.
Today Dusty Deco has become a world-recognised brand. They now have a flagship store in Stockholm and two showrooms in Los Angeles and Palma de Mallorca, where their designs can be seen in situ. Each showroom displays Dusty Deco designs in “lived-in” environments. These spaces allow you to step into Edin and Lina’s world. Materials, colours and patterns clash beautifully, creating a layered, inviting atmosphere that proves contrasts – when handled with a keen eye – create the perfect balance.
The current Dusty Deco collection is a celebration of collaborative spirit. Edin and Lina work alongside a collective of renowned designers and architects, including Bross, Sigfrid Billgren, MER Arkitekter, and Matthew Williamson. They also honour design history by reissuing classic mid-century pieces by Danish icons like Elias Svedberg and Henning Kjaernulf, ensuring that the "Deco" in their name remains rooted in design prestige and recognisable history.

Dusty Deco Miles Sofa
A real centrepiece, the Dusty Deco Miles Zebra Print Sofa is a design you can build a complete interior around. Created in collaboration with Swedish architecture and consulting firm MER Arkitekter, the Miles Sofa aligns with their philosophy that design and environment should enhance well-being. With its invitingly soft seating and generous size, this is a sofa you’ll want to spend a lot of time on, whether that’s taking a quiet moment to relax and read a book or a vibrant gathering with friends or family.
The zebra print upholstery fabric is bold and tactile, with a slightly muted tone to keep it classic. Taking inspiration from the 1920s Swedish Grace style, considered the golden era of Swedish design, the Miles has a soft, rounded shape with cylindrical wooden legs. This attention to detail, with references to styles of antiquity, creates a sofa that looks just as good as a statement piece in a paired-back space as it does styled in an eclectic interior alongside vintage or antique finds.
Dusty Deco Sphere Sofa Table
Polished marble brings a luxurious edge to an interior, but there is something even more special about Emperador marble. Its dark brown tones and contrasting light veining give it a unique depth. The Dusty Deco Sphere Sofa Table makes it easy to incorporate this texture into your living space. The design features a large, round tabletop of Emperador marble balancing on three oversized, spherical, stained beech legs.
The contrast between the polished marble and the patina of the stained beech wood gives the coffee table a one-of-a-kind feel – like it was a unique find in an antique shop. It has a bold design, but the colour and properties of each material are grounding. It draws attention to itself quietly, helping to support other unique furniture pieces tying the room together.
Dusty Deco V Daybed
For those seeking a piece that balances sculptural form with ultimate comfort, the Dusty Deco V Daybed in Sheepskin is an essential addition to a curated home. Its silhouette is defined by the brand’s signature V-shaped legs – a recurring aesthetic hallmark that lends the piece a mid-century architectural feel. Handcrafted by master artisans, the frame and legs are carved from solid beech wood, which is stained and waxed to achieve a deep patina.
The standout feature of this particular edition is the upholstery: a high-quality sheepskin from Skandilock. This material adds a soft, contemporary warmth to the daybed’s clean lines. The V Daybed embodies the Dusty Deco philosophy of balancing contrast, blending the natural texture of sheepskin with a sophisticated, hand-finished frame to create a piece that feels contemporary but also like a true vintage discovery.
Dusty Deco Geraldine Floor Lamp
A simple but impactful design, the Geraldine Floor Lamp features a pleated, waxed paper shade in a vibrant mustard colour. The shade is supported by a thin, black metal rod and three slender legs, each finished with an elegant curl. This design is reminiscent of 1920s styles and brings a classic touch to interiors without looking too retro.
The Geraldine Floor Lamp looks beautiful placed beside an accent chair such as Dusty Deco’s Miles Loveseat to create a cosy reading nook. Place two on either side of a large sofa for a grand and inviting lounge or pair it with the matching Geraldine Table Lamp to create continuity within your space.
Crafting Your Own Story
Dusty Deco reminds us that a home should be a collection of stories rather than a showroom of trends. By blending the soul of vintage finds with the precision of modern craftsmanship, Edin and Lina Kjellvertz have provided the tools for anyone to become a curator of their own space.
Whether you are drawn to the bold geometry of their marble tables or the nostalgic glow of their lighting, incorporating Dusty Deco into your home is an invitation to embrace the eclectic and tell stories of your own.
