Tucked away on an unassuming side street in the old town of Palma de Mallorca is one of Dusty Deco’s three showrooms. On walking past, you would think it was just a normal apartment, but behind its doors is a carefully curated space of collected art, vintage treasures and mid-century classics showcased alongside the Dusty Deco collection.

Dusty Deco’s showrooms are unique spaces, designed to feel like lived-in residencies rather than a typical stark retail environment. Founders Edin and Lina Kjellvertz have created rooms they would genuinely want to live in themselves. Their long-standing passion for sourcing vintage furniture, art and decorative objects is evident in every corner and pays homage to the brand’s beginnings.

Alongside their flagship showroom in Stockholm and their Los Angeles location (each with its unique identity), Mallorca has become home for Edin and Lina in recent years. The island’s sun-faded facades, historic architecture and the bright Mediterranean colour pallet have naturally found their way into the Dusty Deco aesthetic.

Inside the Dusty Deco World

Stepping inside the Palma showroom, you are transported into Edin and Lina’s world – a world where the relationship between contrasts leads the curation of each room. Luxurious marble sits against warm stained wood, sculptural ceramics are placed beside polished surfaces and sleek metal is softened by layered textiles and rugs. Different eras and references collide comfortably together, creating interiors that feel personal rather than overstyled. It’s this balance between contrast and cohesion that defines the Dusty Deco collection as a whole.

The Art of Layered Living

Walk through to an inviting lounge space, and you are immediately drawn towards the Dusty Deco Miles Sofa, upholstered in the collection’s signature zebra print fabric. Bold but surprisingly timeless, the sofa anchors the room amongst an eclectic mix of textures and patterns. Beside it stands the Dusty Deco Pyramid Floor Lamp, creating a sculptural beacon that adds height and balance. The Geraldine Table Lamp introduces a softer glow with its pleated shade and classic silhouette. Lighting is layered carefully throughout the showroom, helping each corner feel lived in.

Towards the far side of the room, the Dusty Deco Hexagon Consol Table in striking Albanian grey marble introduces another layer of texture and contrast. The coolness of the stone plays against the warmth added by soft upholstery fabrics and woven textiles.

Smaller marble pieces, including the Arco Candle Holder and Sphere Candle Holder, subtly tie the scheme together without it feeling too coordinated. Around them sit colourful tapestries, artworks and collected objects that feel as though they have been gathered over decades of travel. Nothing feels out of place, and each item contributes quietly to the overall atmosphere of the room.

In another lounge area, a dramatic antique chandelier hangs low over the space, centring the room naturally. Underneath sits the Dusty Deco Sphere Sofa Table; its polished Emperador marble top is supported by oversized stained beech sphere legs. Around the table, mismatched seating creates a more relaxed, conversational setting. Each chair brings its own personality, yet within the space, they feel balanced.

The Elias Armchair in Zebra print upholstery creates continuity between the two rooms, subtly mirroring the Miles Sofa but taking on a different form. Originally designed in the 1940s by Swedish architect Elias Svedberg, the chair reflects Dusty Deco’s ongoing appreciation for classic Scandinavian design and timeless forms. Nearby, the Dusty Deco Easy Chair, upholstered in soft sheepskin, creates a quieter corner to retreat to. It’s a chair that feels as comfortable and inviting as the room itself.

More Than Just a Showroom

What makes the Palma showroom so captivating is the sense of bohemian ease throughout. Despite the mix of materials, periods and influences, everything feels natural. Mallorca is the place that the Dusty Deco family have called home for the past few years, and that can be seen within this historic Palma apartment. It is more than just a showroom; it is a place where the brand’s past, present, and future collide.

Whether it’s the quiet glow of a Geraldine lamp or the grounding presence of a marble console, every object in the Palma showroom is an invitation to explore. It is a welcoming stop for inspiration, reminding us that a home should never be static. Instead, it should be an ever-evolving collection of the things we love.
