The Bell Blown Pendant by Old School Electric is a celebration of pure, architectural simplicity. Its beautifully domed, hand-blown clear-glass shade creates a quiet yet striking focal point, allowing the pendant’s silhouette, and the bulb within, to take centre stage. With its refined clarity, the Bell Blown Pendant introduces a soft, luminous presence to dining rooms, kitchens, hallways and living spaces, inviting you to imagine pools of warm, comforting light wherever it hangs.
Designed in the UK by Mark Holloway, this pendant is offered in three sizes to suit every scale of interior:
Small : 14.5cm diameter
Medium : 21cm diameter
Large : 25.5cm diameter
The transparent shade provides a glowing enclosure for the lamp inside; because of its clear nature, pairing with a decorative bulb, such as an LED filament, is strongly recommended for the best visual effect. Suspended from a coordinating metal ceiling rose by a twisted fabric cable, the pendant brings subtle, textural depth to the composition.
Like all Old School Electric pendants, it takes a standard E27 bulb and is fully dimmable when used with compatible components. Available in eight finishes, Antique Brass, Light Antique Brass, Dark Bronze, Satin Brass, Polished Brass, Matt Black, Polished Nickel and Polished Chrome, the Bell Blown Pendant can be customised to complement surrounding hardware or create tonal contrast.
Its clarity and simplicity make it a versatile choice for a wide range of interior schemes, from pared-back, minimal spaces to richly layered traditional rooms. What bulb should I use?
The pendant takes an E27 bulb. Because the glass is clear, a decorative filament bulb is recommended.
Is the height adjustable?
Yes, the fabric cable can be shortened during installation.
Is it dimmable?
Yes, fully dimmable with a compatible bulb and switch.
Can it be used in bathrooms?
This version is not bathroom-rated and should be used only in dry areas.
Where does it look best?

About your delivery
- We aim to get your items to you as soon as possible.
- For regular sized packages we use an overnight courier company, usually either DPD or APC.
- For oversized, heavy or awkward packages a more bespoke delivery service will be provided.
- Once your order has been despatched, you will receive a tracking link by email so you can follow your delivery to your door.
- Free Delivery offer only applies to UK mainland purchases. We reserve the right to make additional charges for overseas deliveries and for remote parts of the UK, including Isle of Wight, Isle of Man, Northern Ireland, Shetland, and the Highlands.
What happens when I order?
- If your order is in stock, you should have your item(s) within 3-5 days of placing your order, but please note there can be a small increase in delivery time during busy periods.
- Free Click & Collect is available from all of our showroom locations and from our warehouse in Ludlow. This can be selected as an option within our checkout. PLEASE NOTE: Stock is not held in our stores and your order will need to be transferred from our warehouse to the relevant store - this can take 4-8 days. For in stock items, the fastest way to receive your order is to have it delivered directly to you.
Returns
- All goods can be returned within 30 days of delivery if they do not meet your requirements.
- Returned goods must be returned with all parts, packaging, and instructions in perfect condition for a refund to be issued.
