The Ligne Roset Togo range is a landmark of contemporary design, famously conceived by Michel Ducaroy in 1973 as a response to a new, informal way of living. Defined by its low-slung, "crumpled" silhouette, the collection completely removed the rigid frames and hard points of traditional furniture in favour of a more visceral, nest-like experience. Over fifty years since its debut, Togo remains a cult classic, instantly recognisable for its hand-sewn pleats and an aesthetic that feels both rebellious and remarkably comfortable.

Technical innovation is what gives the range its longevity, with each piece constructed from multiple densities of polyether foam that are layered to provide a supportive but soft sit. Every unit is hand-crafted in the French village of Briord, where the fabric is meticulously folded and stitched to move in harmony with the foam interior. This all-foam construction makes the pieces surprisingly lightweight and easy to reposition, while the absence of a traditional internal structure ensures that the furniture adapts to the body of the sitter for total relaxation.

As a modular system, the Togo range offers a flexible approach to interior layout, allowing fireside chairs, corner units, and footstools to be combined into bespoke landscapes that suit any room size. Its grounded, architectural profile creates a sense of space and openness, making it a natural fit for minimalist apartments and eclectic family homes alike. It is a collection that prioritises a slow, carefree pace of life, settled by a reputation for enduring French quality.
