The Anatomy of the Beetle Chair

The inspiration behind the Beetle Chair's open and welcoming curved seat comes from GamFratesi's fascination with the insect world. The design translates the anatomy of a beetle into an elegant yet highly functional dining chair. The two sections of the chair represent the sections of a beetle's body: curved and rigid on the outside, soft on the inside.

This softness is what, in our opinion, makes the chair such a successful design. Many designers overlook comfort in the pursuit of creating something beautiful; however, in the Beetle Chair, GamFratesi have created something that can be sat on for hours, shaping to the contours of the body.
