What is a step stool?
An easy one to start. A step stool is a compact steps designed to help reach hard to get to spots in the home. Often comprising just one or two steps, step stools give users up to approximately 50cm of extra reach. Not enough to reach for the moon but plenty for getting that book down from the top shelf or for getting the angel on top of the Christmas tree. And, as the name suggests, they can also double as a stool or even a low table. Compact, versatile and indispensable. Every home needs one.
What is the purpose of a step stool?
Step Stools are compact, portable steps designed to give a small boost to your height. This makes them perfect for reaching hard to reach areas in homes or in the office. At home they can be used for tasks such as changing light bulbs, hanging decorations, cleaning light fittings, washing windows and much more.
Can you sit on a step stool?
Absolutely. The clue is in the name. Our step stools are robust and can be stood or sat on.
What are the disadvantages of step stools?
Step stools are not a replacement for a ladder or step ladder. They are perfect for gaining a little extra height but for anything more ambitious you will need a ladder. As with all ladders, you should also be careful when using a step stool and be aware that most injuries occur when stepping down.
