Plumen
Plumen are serious about lighting. Founded in 2010 by Nicolas Roope and Michael-George Hemus, they created the name Plumen, a combination of "plume", the decorative feathers of a bird and "lumen", the measurement of light, to reflect the values of their company.
Outwardly, Plumen's designs are pretty, playful and provocative. Inwardly, the engineering team at Plumen work tirelessly to give bulbs a longer lifespan. Unable to understand why the humble light bulb hadn't evolved in 150 years, Plumen created the world's first designer low energy light bulb: the 001.
