Marcel Gascoin
Known for his modular storage units and sets of matching wooden furniture, Marcel Gascoin (1907-1986) played a major role in the emergence of French design after World War II. Focusing on clean lines and functionality, his designs became a staple in French homes in the post-war era. A trained cabinetmaker and interior designer, Gascoin focused his entire career on connecting art and industry.
Today, his work is being progressively rediscovered by collectors, and Danish design brand Gubi has been working with the Marcel Gascoin archives to reissue his designs.
