Voll shares the early stages of the Ville collection’s story: “We found the main idea for the chairs – the curvy seat bouncing off the strict steel base – in the very first hand-sketch. We developed the expression of the chair through extensive 1:1 modelling – and the table and the benches, while maintaining distinct qualities of their own, are more supporting actors in this scene.”

What materials are used in the Collection?
The Thorvald range is made from powder coated steel and these products have not been treated with any biocides. The Ville collection is also created from powder coated steel. The chairs have polyester straps which are woven to create the seat and backrest. The arm chairs and tables also are constructed from teak wood. All wood is from certified FSC sources and meet the EU Ecolabel regulations.
How to clean my Outdoor Furniture?
Cleaning powder coated steel - these surfaces are durable, require no maintenance and offer an endless palette of colours, textures and gloss. It is recommended only to use a soft, dry cloth to clean lacquered and powder coated surfaces but in case more severe cleaning is necessary, a soft cloth wrung in lukewarm water can be carefully applied. Always dry immediately after cleaning with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaning agents or aggressive cleaning detergents on lacquered or powder coated surfaces as this may permanently damage the surface.
