Wim Reitweld
Son of the iconic designer, Gerrit Rietveld, Wim Rietveld (1924-1985) carried on his family's tradition of creating cutting-edge furniture. Focused on designing functional, aesthetic solutions for mass production, Wim Rietveld won awards for a number of his furniture designs, including his Result chair, Oase chair, Reply drafting table and Pyramid bench & table.
Like most designers in the post-war era, he created his minimalist modern designs from easily accessible materials such as metal and laminated woods. Today, his desirable designs are manufactured by HAY.
