Tom Dixon

A tireless innovator who first rose to prominence in the mid-1980s as a maverick, self-taught designer with his line of welded salvage furniture, Tom Dixon quickly became a household name upon the release of his iconic S Chair, designed for Italian furniture giant, Capellini. By 1998, he was appointed head of design at Terence Conran's Habitat, and in 2002 he opened up his eponymous, highly acclaimed studio.

Specialising in luxury furniture, lighting and accessories, Dixon's intrinsically British brand is internationally recognised and admired for its pioneering use of materials and techniques.
