David Geckeler
An industrial designer based in Berlin, David Geckeler works across furniture, lighting, interiors and tableware. Growing up in Southern Germany, he credits his studies at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts for broadening his horizons on what constitutes good design.
Seeking simplicity and attention to detail in each of his creations, Geckeler feels that a long-term affection for a product is what constitutes its worthiness. His Nerd Chair collection for Muuto fits that criteria, and has won a Becker's International Design Award in the process.
