Alessandro Mendini
The face of Italian avant-garde design, Alessandro Mendini (1931-2019) was an architect and designer renowned for mixing the highbrow with the kitsch. Freely combining elements from different cultures and time periods, his holistic postmodern approach to design allowed him to create one of a kind pieces of furniture and lighting, as well as develop large-scale architectural projects.
